There is nothing cuter than a German Wirehaired Pointer puppy. Tyler had talked about getting a GWP since he and Chelsea started dating. Once a home was purchased, a deposit was made on a local litter. Chelsea was apprehensive reading the breed characteristics on the AKC site but Tyler reassured her. We had no idea what we were doing. Without support, Rylynn failed to meet her potential, though not without effort from Steady on Point (Alan Ott) and P.S.R. Kennels (Joe Plote). Rylynn is a harsh reminder that when a high drive dog is not mentally or physically stimulated, they will seek trouble, and no lesson can be learned too many times. She has had 5 foreign bodies with 3 obstructions. We still love her though she drains our bank account. Rylynn is the most tenacious retriever. She would have been an excellent duck dog. Rylynn has been a little lost without her older brother Cooper but little human brother Whitt is filling that void.
