Rock River Handsome Like Bradley "Cooper"

Forever in our hearts. The dog that started it all. He led us to Ry, who led us to Drake, who led us to Jana. Cooper had no formal training. A "meat dog" if you will, meaning you have to go pretty far back in his pedigree to find a title. He was just a good boy. Loyal as the day is long, with all the natural retrieving abilities novice and experienced hunters admired. Cooper did anything and everything Tyler asked of him. Cooper was plagued by a spine injury in the early season of 2022. With the assistance of Amy at Pawsativity Canine PT,  we got him back before the season ended. 2024, at 10 years old, Cooper had a banner season. His last Illinois hunt, he retrieved a 5 man limit and no hunter had to leave the blind. Tyler and Cooper were able to make their bucket list hunt in Arkansas. We never would have imagined it would be his last retireve, but we are thankful we have that last Mallard mounted in memorial. There's not much to write about Cooper other than he was a good boy. We lost him unexpectedly the day after our son was born to the silent killer-hemangiosarcoma. Cooper would have made the best big brother to a human brother. He was the best puppy raiser. Every lab that comes into this family has a tall order to fill as Cooper's shadow casts far and wide.
